Criticizing Islam is already a hate crime in Europe – the case of Austrian woman, Elisabeth Sabaditsch-Wolff

This is what happens when the numbers of Muslims in a society reach a critical mass where they can begin exerting political pressure: they use fear of being thrown in jail for the “hate crime” of criticizing a religion as a way to silence critics and further strengthen the position of Islam.

If Americans do not begin actively resisting the growth of Islam, they will see their freedom to speak openly disappear as well.

How many times do we have to see it happen before we start to realize it could happen here?

Is it Racist to Criticize Islam?

Is it Racist to Criticize Islam?

by Citizen Warrior

Islam is not a race. There are Muslims of every race. The largest Muslim country is Indonesia. There are more non-Arab Muslims than Arab Muslims. Criticism of Islam is not racism.

Most people trying to silence criticism of Islam know full well Islam is not a race. But the slander is effective in the free world. The mere implication can ruin a political career or get someone fired. So while it’s not true — and most people saying it know it’s not true — it is an effective weapon of censorship nontheless.

The following list of prominent critics of Islam could go on indefinitely. If you think criticizing Islam is racist, can you tell me exactly what race they are all criticizing? Of course not.

Calling criticism of Islam “racist” is a manipulative, underhanded slander. The accurate name is “critic.”

All the people below are engaged in religious criticism, criticism of an ideology, and political commentary, all of which are desirable, necessary, vital components of a free society.

I hope this list, once and for all, will make anyone who says “criticizing Islam is racist” look ridiculous … Every time you read or hear anyone using “racism” to silence criticism of Islam, respond with this list and see what happens.

Islamic feminism: taking back instruments of Sharia law, after centuries of male domination?

from “Muslim Grrrls”
by Rafia Zakaria

Photo Shadi Ghadirian

“Four or five years ago, the term Sharia, which for Muslims denotes Islamic law, meant scant little to Americans. As I write this in the fall of 2010, America’s perceptions of Islam and Muslims have changed markedly.

A few months from now, when Oklahoma voters march to the polls, they will face “question 755” on their ballots. Born out of the “Save Our State” constitutional amendment passed by the Oklahoma legislature earlier this year, question 755 will implore voters to forbid courts from using international law or Sharia law in their decisions.

In state legislatures in Tennessee and Louisiana, similar bills await consideration. And in New York, Tennessee, Florida, and California, Americans are fiercely protesting the construction of mosques.

These local cataclysms have been fueled by a steady stream of Taliban executions and floggings, all carried out under the supposed imprimatur of Sharia.

It is in this landscape, constructed of faraway images of women whose burqas flap about in the dust, as well as of avenging state senators in the American heartland, that I am often asked about the possibility of Islamic feminism.”

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad: “the future belongs to Iran”

“NEW YORK – Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Sunday that “the future belongs to Iran,” and challenged the United States to accept that his country has a major role in the world.

He insisted that his government does not want an atomic bomb [TAQIYYA] and that Iran is only seeking peace and a nuclear-weapons-free world [TAQIYYA].

“The United States’ administrations … must recognize that Iran is a big power,” he said. “Having said that, we consider ourselves to be a human force and a cultural power and hence a friend of other nations [TAQIYYA]. We have never sought to dominate others or to violate the rights of any other country [TAQIYYA].

“Those who insist on having hostilities with us, kill and destroy the option of friendship [TAQIYYA] with us in the future, which is unfortunate because it is clear the future belongs to Iran and that enmities will be fruitless.”

In the interview in a room crowded with aides, bodyguards and Iranian journalists, the Iranian leader projected an air of innocence [TAQIYYA – completely true: he was projecting an air of innocence, not expressing genuine innocence], saying his country’s quest to process ever greater amounts of uranium is reasonable for its expanding civilian power program, omitting that the watchdog United Nations agency involved has found Iran keeping secrets from its investigators on several occasions, including secret research sites.

Ahmadinejad argued that the opposition Green Movement, which has largely been forced underground, continues to enjoys rights in Iran but said that in the end it must respect “majority rule.” [TAQIYYA]

Government opponents “have their activities that are ongoing and they also express their views publicly. They have several parties, as well as several newspapers, and many newspapers and publications. And so there are really no restrictions of such nature,” the president said. [TAQIYYA]

He did not mention that many newspapers have been closed down and that prominent opposition figures were put in prison and then tried after tens of thousands of Iranians took to the streets claiming that the election that put him back in power in 2010 was fraudulent and stolen.

Overall, Ahmadinejad said that Iran’s course is set and the rest of the world needs to accept it.

Another round of international pressure in the form of sanctions would only be futile, he said. “If they were to be effective, I should not be sitting here right now.”

Should there be a Moratorium on Muslim immigrants to the US?

Two views on the question discussed at Conservative Conference

WorldNetDaily.com Inc., a conservative, independent news company, sponsored a “Taking America Back” conference in Miami, Fla..

WND says it is dedicated to uncompromising journalism, seeking truth and justice and revitalizing the role of the free press as a guardian of liberty, and says that it seeks to stimulate a free-and-open debate about the great moral and political ideas.

“A proposal on how to stop the spread of Islam in the U.S., suggested from the floor at WND’s “Taking America Back” conference in Miami, Fla., stirred a rousing response from the audience but received an even more impassioned reply from the platform.

“I propose a moratorium on Islamic immigration and mosque construction in the U.S.,” an unidentified attendee suggested during a panel discussion on Islam, “until the Quran is scrubbed of its passages that are incompatible with our Constitution.”

The audience responded in spontaneous applause.”

Taqiyya – the Art of Deception – do not fall for it

“What makes Allah happy … Allah is happy when the kufar are killed.”

If a person is a Muslim, their loyalty is to Islam – any other oath or promise means nothing.

“Yeah, I’m British born, British bred.”

“Are you willing to kill British soldiers?”

New report: Obama administration weak on domestic terrorism

A terrorism expert agrees with the assessment of a new report that shows the Obama administration is not adequately dealing with the threats of homegrown terrorism attacks.

The report, compiled by the former heads of the 9/11 Commission, says the U.S. government was slow to take seriously the threat posed by homegrown radicals and has failed to put systems in place to deal with the growing phenomenon.

It also points out that there is still no federal agency specifically charged with identifying radicalization or working to prevent terrorist recruitment of U.S. citizens and residents.

Furthermore, the report concludes that terrorism today is more likely to come as small-scale attacks, much like that of last November’s shootings at Fort Hood shooting or the failed car bomb attempt at Times Square in May.

Robert SpencerRobert Spencer of Jihad Watch notes that in the latter example, the Obama administration did not want to admit that it was an Islamic plot.

Americans can have a fairly low bull shit tolerance: when someone kills people while shouting “Allahu Akbar” and then the President is conspicuously silent about the Islamic motivation of the attack, it makes alert Americans wonder why.

Media Hype: Anti-Muslim Hate Crimes Are Increasing. Statistics: No They Aren’t

Since 2001, hate crimes against Muslims have decreased significantly, according to FBI statistics. After 2002, hate crimes against Muslims have not risen above 13 percent of all anti-religious crimes, and the most recent data from 2008 calculates them at 7.8 percent.

Despite this evidence to the contrary, each year has brought claims by prominent Muslim leaders that anti-Islamic hate crimes are actually growing – with the allegations usually coming right after a terrorist attack or at a time when Muslim leaders are lobbying on political issues.

The percentage of anti-Muslim hate crimes stood at 8.7 in 2007, down nearly 20 percentage points from 2001. By 2008, it had fallen to 7.8 percent.

http://grendelreport.posterous.com/media-hype-anti-muslim-hate-crimes-are-increa

This is a calculated strategy, one you will see over and over again once you know to look for it: an attempt to garner sympathy by presenting Muslims as victims when, in fact, Islamic leaders are doing everything possible to quietly grab more and more control, quietly build up more and more financial, cultural and political leverage.

This is more taqiyya: deception cleverly used to further the cause of Islam.

Islam under assault – or assaulting others?

NEW YORK (AP) — A summit of U.S. Muslim organizations is planned for Saturday and Sunday in New York City to address both the project and a rise in anti-Muslim sentiments and rhetoric that has accompanied the debate over the project.

It has yet to be seen whether the group will emerge with a firm stand on the proposed community center, dubbed Park51. The primary purpose of the two-day meeting is to talk about ways to combat religious bigotry.

http://www.nytimes.com/aponline/2010/09/17/us/AP-US-NYC-Mosque.html?_r=1&partner=rss&emc=rss

Maybe a good place to start in combating religious bigotry is for the followers of Islam to stop acting like religious bigots.

Their attempt to shift the blame, to accuse Americans who simply want to protect their way of life from the toxic influence of a “religion” that teaches religious bigotry – that offends me. But I wouldn’t dream of hurting anyone over it, threatening to hurt anyone, or even shouting at anyone.

Five suspected Islamist terrorists arrested over assassination plot

Police have arrested five suspected Islamist terrorists, working as street cleaners in London, over an alleged plan assassinate the Pope.

The men were arrested during raids at 5.45am at a rubbish depot in central London based on an intelligence tip off received overnight.

The suspects, aged 26, 27, 36, 40 and 50 were arrested by officers from Scotland Yard’s Counter Terrorism Command on suspicion of the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism.

They are said to be from a variety of nationalities including a number of Algerian origin.

The depot where they worked is less than a mile from Hyde Park where the Pope was due to hold a prayer vigil tomorrow evening.

As street cleaners they would have been able to move relatively freely and inconspicuously through the London crowds.

Once again we have a demonstration of how tolerant the followers of Islam are of other religions.

Did these wannabe assassins hijack Islam?

No, they were trying to implement the words of the Koran. It is time to stop listening to naive people calling for us to accept Islam as just another religion under the label of “Religious Freedom”.

Take note: these were Muslims living and working in London. Did you notice how living in a Western country moderated their behavior? Did you notice how they fit in to British society?

This is why Americans do not want more Muslims, more mosques, in the US – it only allows them to move freely in our crowds until they are ready to attack – and there is no way to know which will attack and which will simply quietly work and supply money and support to the cause.
