Anwar al-Awlaki, an American born in New Mexico - yet another home-grown terrorist, educated in an American Mosque

WASHINGTON – The Obama administration on Saturday invoked the state secrets privilege which would kill a lawsuit on behalf of U.S.-born cleric Anwar al-Awlaki, an alleged terrorist said to be targeted for death or capture under a U.S. government program.

Believed to be hiding in Yemen, al-Awlaki has become the most notorious English-speaking advocate of terrorism directed at the United States.

E-mails link al-Awlaki to the Army psychiatrist accused of the killings at Fort Hood, Texas, last year.

Al-Awlaki [was also involved in] preparing Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab in his attempt to detonate an explosive device aboard a Northwest Airlines flight from Amsterdam to Detroit on Christmas Day 2009.

“Our unsettled account with America includes, at the very least, one million women and children. I’m not even talking about the men,”  al-Awlaki [is quoted] as saying.

In its court papers, the Justice Department said that the issues in the case are for the executive branch of government to decide rather than the courts.

One exampleof the pro-Islamic slant written into school text books, according to one textbook, Islam ‘brought untold wealth to thousands and a better life to millions,’ while ‘because of [Europeans’ Christian] religious zeal … many peoples died and many civilizations were destroyed.’

The message repeatedly slipped into the text books was:

Islam = Good

Christianity (or any other religion) = Bad

Anyone who has a clear understanding of the long-term agenda of Islam will not be at all surprised by this. It’s entirely consistent with what the Koran teaches: promote the growth of Islam, don’t worry about lying to the kafir (infidels), use any means necessary to make Islam the dominant religion in every culture.

“In one instance, devoting 120 student text lines to Christian beliefs, practices, and holy writings but 248 (more than twice as many) to those of Islam; and dwelling for 27 student text lines on Crusaders’ massacre of Muslims at Jerusalem in 1099 yet censoring Muslims’ massacres of Christians there in 1244 and at Antioch in 1268, implying that Christian brutality and Muslim loss of life are significant but Islamic cruelty and Christian deaths are not.”

Another point of contention is book authors “spending 139 student text lines on Christian beliefs, practices, and holy writings but 176 on those of Islam; claiming Islam ‘brought untold wealth to thousands and a better life to millions,’ while ‘because of [Europeans’ Christian] religious zeal … many peoples died and many civilizations were destroyed;’ and contrasting ‘the Muslim concern for cleanliness’ with Swedes in Russia who were ‘the filthiest of God’s creatures.'”

One book that was examined was “World History, Patterns of Interaction” published by McDougal. The footnotes noted that it has been reported that the Dubai royal family was a “major shareholder” in the Education Media and Publishing Group, which controls textbook publisher Houghton Mifflin Harcourt.

“We’re just trying to protect the school children of Texas,” Rives told WND in preparation for the vote. “We have documented that in the past there was some pro-Islamic and anti-Christian literature in some of our textbooks. We want to put textbook companies on notice that if this happens again, it can cause your textbooks to be rejected.”

“We are the largest buyer of textbooks in the United States, and publishers like to try to get others states to accept the same version [we use]. What we do in Texas influences the rest of the nation, and we need to take that seriously and make sure an agenda isn’t pushed through the textbooks.”

Rives told Alana Goodman of the Alexandria, Va.-based Culture and Media Institute, “In the social studies books we need to make sure that our democratic values are depicted and that’s not just my opinion, that’s what the Texas education code says.”

Much to the dismay of the Dallas Morning News, the resolution also warns that “more such discriminatory treatment of religion may occur as Middle Easterners buy into the U.S. public school textbook oligopoly, as they are now doing.”

State board adopts resolution calling for fairness regarding world’s religions

The elected Texas Board of Education today adopted a resolution that warns textbook publishers to be careful and provide fair treatment of the world’s religions – or face being snubbed by the state that buys more textbooks than any other.

The resolution, introduced by former Texas school board member Randy Rives, states: “Resolved, That the SBOE will look to reject future prejudicial social studies submissions that continue to offend Texas law with respect to treatment of the world’s major religious groups by significant inequalities of coverage space-wise and/or by demonizing or lionizing one or more of them over others.”

The resolution, adopted on a 7-6 vote, declares that “pro-Islamic/anti-Christian half-truths, selective disinformation, and false editorial stereotypes still roil some social studies textbooks nationwide,” including some “politically correct whitewashes of Islamic culture and stigmas on Christian civilization.”

Mark my words: you will hear a backlash on this, accusing Texans of being Islamophobic. This is not about fairness, because Islam is not concerned about being fair; its objective is not to be fair but to be in charge.

Wars are not fought with guns and bombs only – this white-washing of Islam, altering text books to make Islam seem reasonable and peaceful, and to denigrate other religions, is part of a campaign to consolidate and strengthen the position of Islam in the US.

In Sheboygan, Wis., a few Christian ministers led a noisy fight against a Muslim group that sought permission to open a mosque in a former health food store bought by a Muslim doctor.

In Wisconsin, the conflict over the mosque was settled when the Town Executive Council voted unanimously to give the Islamic Society of Sheboygan a permit to use the former health food store as a prayer space.

Dr. Mansoor Mirza, the physician who owns the property, said he was trying to take the long view of the controversy.

“Every new group coming to this country — Jews, Catholics, Irish, Germans, Japanese — has gone through this,” Dr. Mirza said. “Now I think it’s our turn to pay the price, and eventually we will be coming out of this, too.”

Those who use this argument are taking advantage of American openness, good will – and ignorance. The ploy is to lump Islam in with a group of races, ethnic groups, to insulate it from any criticism or responsibility. If anyone points out the hate speech inherent in the teaching of the Quran, they get accused of being bigoted.

Muslims are not like Jews, Catholics, Irish, Germans, or the Japanese, because Islam is not just another culture in the quilt of humanity, it is a system that propagates and incites violence and hate and oppression in the name of their religion, and teaches their children to do the same.

Again: it is not just another religion. It has a very important, clearly stated distinction: its intent is to take over, dominate and subjugate. The Quran advocates violence against Jews and Christians – and any other religion, or pagans, or unbelievers.

That pretty much covers everyone except Muslims.

Americans are used to ignoring religion as either a person’s private business or an irrelevant set of superstitious beliefs – either way, it is not seen as being all that important so Americans don’t much care about a person’s religion as long as it doesn’t interfere with them.

But religion is a driving force for Islam, and as it grows in power and influence, Islam will interfere with every non-Muslim in the country, with no apologies.

If you were not happy with Evangelicals speaking out against abortion, or calling homosexuality a sin, then you are really, really not going to be happy when Islam starts throwing its weight around.

Americans keep making the mistake of lumping Islam in with other religions. It is not the same. It is not just another religion. Muslims would like you to believe that, but it simply is not true.

“A mosque is not just a place for worship,” Nonie Darwish, founder of Arabs for Israel, said in an interview. “It’s a place where war is started, where commandments to do jihad start, where incitements against non-Muslims occur. It’s a place where ammunition was stored.”

Americans are ignorant about Islam and so, when someone says, “Sharia Law is not against the Constitution”, they believe it, because everybody knows that in America all religions are OK. We are a nation of bobble-heads, nodding to every politically-correct preacher of multi-culturalism.

You lock the door to keep thieves out. Islam, when it gets enough power, will take what you have – unless you lock the door. Study, read about what Islam has done around the world. There is a clear pattern and it is deception, violence and hatred.

Not everyone who calls themselves a Muslim acts this way, of course – only those who rigorously follow what is written in the Quran. The quiet ones simply work hard and contribute a portion of their wages to the mosque and the jihad.

Islam has the stated goal of putting an end to religious and personal freedom – obey Allah or die – become a dhimmi. You will see this for yourself if you take the time to actually read the Quran and don’t just take the word for Muslims saying publicly, “Oh, it will be fine. We love America. We love the Constitution.”

While a high-profile battle rages over a mosque near ground zero in Manhattan, heated confrontations have also broken out in communities across the country where mosques are proposed for far less hallowed locations.

In Murfreesboro, Tenn., Republican candidates have denounced plans for a large Muslim center proposed near a subdivision, and hundreds of protesters have turned out for a march and a county meeting.

In late June, in Temecula, Calif., members of a local Tea Party group took dogs and picket signs to Friday prayers at a mosque that is seeking to build a new worship center on a vacant lot nearby.

At one time, neighbors who did not want mosques in their backyards said their concerns were over traffic, parking and noise — the same reasons they might object to a church or a synagogue. But now the gloves are off. In all of the recent conflicts, opponents have said their problem is Islam itself. They quote passages from the Koran and argue that even the most Americanized Muslim secretly wants to replace the Constitution with Islamic Shariah law.

Sept. 20 (Bloomberg) — Swedish Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt won a second term in office, though his four-party coalition will rule as a minority after the anti-immigration Swedish Democrats won seats in parliament for the first time.

The government won 49.3 percent of the vote, with more than 99 percent of ballots from Swedish districts counted, the election authority said. The opposition won 43.6 percent.

Reinfeldt’s coalition probably lost six seats since the 2006 election, giving it 172 lawmakers in the 349-seat parliament, a Sveriges TV estimate showed. The opposition probably lost 14 seats and will have 157 lawmakers. The Swedish Democrats won 20 seats, STV estimates. Turnout was 82.1 percent.
