American Juhadist Muslims – glorifying the role of women in their battle against the West

“[In a]… new Web video … the al-Awlaki’s lectures are used to voice over still pictures of women preparing for battle.

“The video glorifies the role of Muslim women in battle. Each frame of the lecture is accompanied by women. Each section has a photo of women preparing for battle, carrying arms, as part of terrorist groups,” said the analyst, who spoke on the condition of anonymity. “It is definitely a recruiting film for women willing to sacrifice themselves.”

The video ends with a still photo of the Russian “Black Widow” who blew herself in the Moscow subway March 2010.

Analysts also note that the leading articles in the latest edition of the magazine are all written by Americans. In addition to al-Awlaki, there is Samir Khan. U.S. officials believe the North Carolina native is behind the look and layout of the magazine. There is also a piece by Adam Gadahn. The California native is a longtime mouthpiece for the Al Qaeda senior leadership in the tribal areas of Pakistan.

Jihadists Promote Theft to Fund War on West

AP Muslim cleric Anwar al-Awlaki is said to be the first American on the CIA's capture or kill list. Read more: http://www.foxnews.com/world/2011/01/17/jihadists-encourage-theft-finance-war-west/#ixzz1BLtGw2nz

“Followers of one of the fastest-growing radical Muslim terror groups are being told to steal, embezzle and seize property – especially from Americans – in order to finance their jihad.

While Muslim teaching generally forbids theft, the new edition of Inspire magazine — launched by the group behind the air cargo printer bombs in October, the underwear bomb plot in December 2009 and the most recent pre-Christmas alert — is now telling followers that such crimes are justifiable, especially if the U.S. government and U.S. citizens are targets.

Al-Awlaki gives religious justification to any actions used by jihadists to obtain money. In the article, titled ‘The Ruling on Dispossessing the Disbelievers’ Wealth in Dar Al-Harb,’ he deals with the issue by ruling that Western countries are considered Dar Al-Harb, i.e. the territory of war, countries on which the rules of war apply,” says an analysis from media research group.

“Since this is the case, Al-Awlaki says Muslims living in the West are not bound by any laws or contracts that prohibit them to harm their countries of residence.”

Northern Alliance Tribute

Not all Muslims are terrorists.

There are good people, fine, noble human beings, who are Muslim.

This does not mean that the teachings of Islam must be accepted as “peaceful” but it does mean that we have a responsibility to not hate people, to treat all people with respect – even if we disagree strongly with their religion.

We can disagree, even disagree strongly, and not hate people. That doesn’t mean we have to become doormats, passive weaklings that let others dominate. Do not mistake kindness for weakness. We can firmly hold others to the high standards of freedom and tolerance – but we do not have to tolerate those who dominate others and spread intolerance.

Do you wish to live in freedom or fear?

If you say anything negative about Islam, or express concern about the danger it presents to a society, be ready for accusations of “You’re Islamophobic! You’re racist! You hate all Muslims!”

That is a diversionary tactic to distract you from the very real threat of radical Islam (which hides safely in the masses of “moderate” Islam: the larger the Muslims there is in a nation, the greater the cover and support they provide for the radicals who actually act on the violent teachings of the Koran).

It is not a “phobia” to hear statements like these, below, and then decide that you do not want this ideology growing in your town. These are not my words, they are the words of Muslim leaders – speaking to their followers, encouraging them to act.

“And the Christians are Kuffars [infidels], and you may say to yourself, “No, no, no they’re innocent!”
No kuffar is innocent!”

“And you too will meet your destruction, because Allah’s religion will prevail on this Earth.”

“It is only a matter of time until we rule the Earth, until we control the Earth.”

“You will take over [the] USA!”
“You will take over [the] UK!”
“You will take over Europe! You will defeat them all! You will get victory! You will take over Egypt! We trust in Allah!”

“Indeed it is [Allah] who sent his messenger, Mohammed with Islam, to dominate all other religions, to dominate the United States, to dominate the world, even though the non-Muslims may hate it. Allah is the greatest! Allah is the greatest!”

We don’t hate Muslims. They are people, each one unique and precious, and we are not going to make the mistake of lumping them all into one box – but we do not have to allow a system to gain power in our country that is intent not on getting along, or contributing in a positive way, but on domination and subjugation.

Egypt Sentences Muslim to Death in Killings of Christians

By MONA EL-NAGGAR

“CAIRO — An Egyptian court sentenced a Muslim man to death Sunday for killing six Christians and a Muslim police guard outside a church in a drive-by shooting more than a year ago.

The ruling comes at a time of growing fear and fury among Egypt’s minority Coptic Christian population after the recent bombing outside a church in Alexandria, during New Year’s Eve Mass, that killed 22 people and wounded more than 90.

On Sunday, an Egyptian state security court, amid heavy protection, convicted Mohamed Ahmed Hassanein, more commonly known as Hamam el-Kamouny, 39, for the “premeditated murder” of the seven people who were killed during the shooting last January, as well as for the “attempted murder” of nine others who were wounded.

Egypt’s Muslim majority and Christian minority have a long history of peaceful coexistence and a deep sense of national identity that continues to unite them. But the recent rise in religious fervor, especially among Muslims, in Egypt and around the region has strained relations between both groups and led to sporadic eruptions of violence.

There are no official statistics on the size of the Christian minority in Egypt, but it is generally accepted that they make up about 10 percent of the population.”

What happens when you bring a predator into your home to live with you?

Ferret chews off seven fingers of sleeping 4-month-old baby

This is not the culprit. Photo by Mika Hilunen

“A 4-month-old baby boy lost seven fingers after being attacked by his family’s pet ferret.

I’ll resist the urge to rail against the parents because we still don’t know exactly how the ferret got so close to the infant. What we do know is that the boy’s parents reportedly heard him scream Monday around 2:30 a.m. They rushed into the room where he was sleeping and found him missing all but his thumbs and part of a pinkie finger.

The boy’s father threw the ferret across the room, killing it.”

If you ignore a threat, you often regret it.

Sudan: Non-Muslims equate sharia or Islamic law with slavery.

Khartoum, Sudan (CNN) — Many southerners are voting for an independent Sudan this week, thirsting for freedom from the north. They equate sharia or Islamic law that President Omar al-Bashir has vowed to strengthen with slavery.

Al-Bashir has declared that if Southern Sudan votes in favor of separation, sharia will become the main source of Sudan’s Constitution, Islam the state religion and Arabic the official language.

Many in the north are embracing al-Bashir’s pledge.

Newspaper publisher Al-Tayib Mustafa said he will be happy to see his nation break in two. Islam, he said, comes above all else.

“When the south goes, then the north will be Muslim,” he said. “For a Muslim, unity is not as important as religion. Sharia is religion. Sharia is Islam.”

Iran rounds up Christians in crackdown

“DUBAI, United Arab Emirates – Iran has arrested about 70 Christians since Christmas in a crackdown that demonstrates the limits of religious tolerance by Islamic leaders who often boast they provide room for other faiths.

The latest raids have targeted grass-roots Christian groups Iran describes as “hard-liners” who pose a threat to the Islamic state. Authorities increasingly view them with suspicions that range from trying to convert Muslims to being possible footholds for foreign influence.

“The use of the word missionaries instead of evangelicals is an intentional move by the government,” she said. “As evangelicals, they are a group entitled to their faith. As missionaries, they are enemies of the state seeking to corrupt its people.”

Christian activists claim their Iranian brethren are being persecuted simply for worshipping outside officially sanctioned mainstream churches.”

What if the Tuscon shooter were named Muhammad?

“Just ask yourself this. If the shooter had been a 22-year-old named Muhammad, would we be hearing that Muslim talk radio and the Muslim Internet blamed for it?” the top-rated host asked today. “No, we’d have been told that we can’t blame Muslims for the action of one kook.” – Rush Limbaugh

“In continuing this template and narrative that the tea party and Sarah Palin, that talk radio and Fox News, are inspiring violence, they forget that, in the process of so doing, they are attacking what is now a majority of America,” Limbaugh said. “They are accusing a majority of Americans of being accomplices to murder. … It’s all just surreal. These people are making abject fools of themselves in open, public now.”

“He made a lot of the people really uncomfortable, especially the girls in the class,” said Steven Cates, who attended an advanced poetry writing class with Loughner at Pima Community College last spring.

Another poetry student, Don Coorough, told the AP, “He appeared to be to me an emotional cripple or an emotional child. … He lacked compassion, he lacked understanding and he lacked an ability to connect.”

And yet another, Lynda Sorenson, wrote in an email about Loughner, quoted by the Washington Post, “We have a mentally unstable person in the class that scares the living crap out of me. He is one of those whose picture you see on the news, after he has come into class with an automatic weapon. Everyone interviewed would say, ‘Yeah, he was in my math class and he was really weird.’ I sit by the door with my purse handy. If you see it on the news one night, know that I got out fast.”
