ACLJ: Still Fighting to stop the Ground Zero Mosque – help them if you can.

An important court hearing in our case to stop the construction of the Ground Zero Mosque is scheduled for today, and I need your immediate help.

We’re representing a brave New York City firefighter who survived 9/11, and today’s hearing is crucial in our case: we’re asking a court to enjoin the mosque’s developers from doing any demolition or beginning any construction.

We’re also asking the court to order New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and the City Department of Buildings to comply with discovery –

The Mayor’s office has sent us only a fraction of the documents requested under the Freedom of Information Law.

It’s clear they’re dragging their feet, which suggests an inappropriate involvement between the Mayor’s office and developers of the mosque.

Without this injunction, developers may move forward with their plans; but the injunction can halt the destruction of buildings at issue in the case.

Your help has already made an impact in a case that touches all Americans. While Mayor Bloomberg and others are calling for ”tolerance,” it’s important to keep in mind: this case is not about tolerance.

Americans are tolerant.

But they understand that Ground Zero has become hallowed ground. For a mosque to be constructed on the very site where radical Islam murdered thousands of Americans … it is beyond inappropriate. This mosque must never be built at Ground Zero.

We’re doing all we can to stop it.

Give a generous tax-deductible contribution now, and help your ACLJ team defend the hallowed ground of the 9/11 attacks in New York City from the unwarranted and provocative construction of an Islamic mosque. Your help again today will come at a pivotal moment – we have a hearing on our injunction, possibly taking place as you read this. Please give now.

Thank you for standing with the ACLJ to protect Ground Zero from becoming the site of an Islamic mosque, and thank you for working together with us to protect freedom of religion and personal liberty in the USA.
